What are photochromic sunglasses?
Photochromic lenses darken automatically in sunlight and lighten indoors or in shade - ideal if you move between light conditions all day. Note: most photochromics react to UV, so they darken less behind a car windscreen - check the model if driving is your main use.
Do photochromic lenses work behind a windscreen?
Most darken less inside a car, because windscreens block much of the UV that triggers them. The exception is Serengeti, whose photochromic mineral-glass drivers' lenses are engineered to keep adapting behind glass.
